The cordless reciprocating saw and its blades. A pendulum stroke adjusts from 0 to 3 mm — off for metal and a controlled line, open for fast work in timber — and the blade turns through 180° so the teeth face upward, which is how you cut flush to a wall, ceiling or floor. An anti-vibration gearbox takes a substantial share of the shake out, which your wrists notice by the end of a strip-out. Blade length does the rest: 150 mm for confined cuts, 230 and 305 mm for framing, 400 mm to cross a full section in one stroke. Bi-metal blades survive hidden nails; reinforced carbide demolition blades handle abrasive and high-temperature work that would strip a standard tooth. Mixed sets cover general demolition.
