Jigsaw blades for timber and board, the largest of the blade groups because most jigsaw work is wood. Tooth pitch sets the trade-off: a coarse 4 mm pitch cuts fast through softwood and leaves a rough edge, a fine 2.5 mm pitch is slower and cleaner. Lengths from 75 to 155 mm suit stock thickness — a blade barely longer than the material will flex and wander, so go longer than you think. Reverse-tooth blades cut on the downstroke so the tear-out lands underneath, which is what you want on a veneered or laminated face you're cutting from above.
