TKS 80 table saw

The portable table saw with SawStop AIM technology, and that is the reason to read past the specification. A capacitive sensor watches the blade for contact with skin. If it finds it, a spring-loaded cartridge drives an aluminium block into the teeth and the blade stops and drops below the table within about five milliseconds — the injury that would have taken fingers becomes a scratch. Afterwards you fit a new cartridge and blade. The system switches off for conductive material like wet timber or foil-faced board, which would otherwise trigger it.
