The 125 mm geared sander — three tools in one. A rotary mode that removes material at a rate an ordinary orbital cannot approach, a random-orbit mode for finishing, and a polishing mode, changed with a switch. The gearing is the difference: in rotary mode the pad is driven rather than free-spinning, so it keeps cutting under pressure instead of stalling.
