An active exoskeleton, not a spring harness. An 18 V pack drives a compressor feeding a small air reservoir, and pneumatic cylinders on the arms push back when sensors at the joints detect you lifting — up to about 50 N per forearm, roughly five kilograms of assistance, taking as much as 30% of the load off the front of the shoulder. Support sets to three zones: waist up, chest up, or overhead only. It goes on like a rucksack and adjusts to height in a moment.
